In order to efficiently and effectively use the Dell Venue 11 Pro’s media
capabilities when working with images, it is important that we review basic
computer skills needed for media management.

Instructions:
1. Control/right click on the link listed Jan's Working with Windows
2. On the right side of the screen, click on the “Project 2: Files and Folders”
3. Go to .Image: Create and Save.
4. Read files Image: Create and Save.
a. Scroll to purple boxes for instructions on images in 8.1.
b. Practice each task:
a. Start a program from Window Search.
b. Resize canvas.
c. Create a text image.
d. Experiment with font sizes.
e. Practice cut, copy, paste.
f. Create a custom color.
g. Save a picture.
Features/Terms:
bitmap image Picture defined as a series of dots
vector image Picture defined as a set of geometric shapes, using equations
animation Sequence of images that are shown rapidly in succession, causing an impression of movement
pixel Single picture element, the smallest dot on the screen or page. A period (.) is made of 4 pixels in a square.
palette Set of choices, such as colors or shapes
brush Tool for drawing lines. May give the effect of using a pencil, a paint brush, an airbrush spray, chalk, charcoal, felt-tip marker...
handles Shapes on a selected object that allow you to change the shape by dragging the handle
fill Colors an enclosed area with one color or pattern
cel Single image in an animation sequence. The two cels (enlarged below) create animated eyes .
In the “Summary” section, go to the “Important Terms” section and review terms for basic computer use.
