Module 4: Goals and Outcomes
In this module, you will learn the importance of digital citizenship
how it will protect your privilege to participate in Horry County Schools
Personal Learning Device Intiaitive.
Course Goals
The following course goals articulate the general objectives and purpose of the Tiger Digital Boot Camp. Students will:
Identify and describe online threats to PDL device and school’s computer network.
Identify unethical uses and potential abuses of PDL and school network.
Identify and explain the consequences of inappropriate and unethical digital behavior (socially and legally).
Compare and contrast the difference between copyright, public domain, creative commons, commercial purpose, and fair use.
Examine the importance and impact of cyber safety, cyber bullying, and the consequences of inappropriate use of the PDL.
Course Outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to:
Practice digital citizenship when using the Dell Venue 11 Pro effectively as a personal learning device.
Abide by the laws governing copyright and fair use when integrating digital media into their course work.
Provide their privacy online and avoid a negative digital footprint. .
